DRESSAGE COACHING AND EQUINE THERAPY

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I am an experienced dressage rider, coach, an AC-accredited performance coach, and a trained counsellor and psychotherapist based on Anglesey North Wales. My work is grounded in an integrative, horse-centred approach, meeting each rider where they are and supporting both horse and human to develop with clarity, confidence, and balance.

My professional dressage career began at AM Dressage with Matt Frost and Adam Kemp, followed by four years in Dorset working for a young horse producer and breeder. During this time, I gained extensive experience producing young horses correctly, with a strong emphasis on long-term development, welfare, and correct training. I later progressed to working and riding for Carl Hester, where I developed in-depth knowledge of high-level training and performance within the dressage industry.

I combine this experience with my training in performance coaching and psychotherapy to support riders navigating confidence issues, performance pressure, emotional blocks, and transitions both in and out of the saddle. My approach is flexible, intuitive, and tailored, allowing work to develop in a way that supports horse welfare, rider wellbeing, and sustainable progress.

My Approach

I believe the relationship between coach, rider, and horse is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes. Choosing the right support can make all the difference. By building a safe, trusting partnership, we create the foundation for lasting development, enjoyment, and confidence.

I believe progress begins with genuine connection. In a sport that can sometimes feel technical, pressured, or results-driven, I believe there is a need to return to something more human and horse-focused. When working with me, you are meeting a real person not a performance mask who shows up authentically, listens deeply, and supports you as you navigate your journey with your horse.

Equally important is the relationship we nurture with ourselves and with our horses. Through reflection, practical tools, and clear, compassionate training, I support riders in developing self-awareness, resilience, and independent thinking, helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.
